Investigating Some SMS messages were delivered more than once. Affected recipients may have received duplicate copies of the same notification. Message content was correct and no messages were lost; the issue was limited to duplicate delivery. We identified the cause and applied a fix.
Identified The cause was identified in our SMS delivery pipeline: under certain retry conditions, a message that had already been accepted by the network could be submitted again. No data was affected and message content was never altered.
Monitoring A fix was applied to ensure each message is delivered exactly once, and outbound SMS delivery was monitored to confirm no further duplicates.
Resolved Monitoring confirmed no recurrence of duplicate deliveries. All SMS notifications are being delivered normally. We apologise for any confusion the duplicate messages caused.
